Every week, with a few exceptions, we share in study of the Word of God together, sometimes in the morning and sometimes in the evening to accommodate all schedules. Our approach to Scripture is that of dialogue and reflection: God speaks to us all differently based on our journey, so there's not "one right answer." Instead, we challenge and support one another on our unique journeys. Contact us to learn what time our current study is meeting.
We Share in Diversity
As an United Methodist Church, we believe that all people are loved by God, no matter race, creed, social status, or sexual orientation. All are welcome and all are loved because God is love and God's grace is available in equal measure for all people. So we don't all believe the same. Yet still we practice what we call "An Open Table," meaning all are invited at the Communion Table, and all are invited on the journey towards fulfillment in God's grace by means of worship, prayer, study, and fellowship. We have been here in Jericho for over two hundred years. We've seen a lot of change over that time, but our love for Christ and one another has not changed. Each person in our church engages in a spiritual fellowship group for prayer, support, and gentle nudging and encouragement in discipleship.
9 a.m. every Sunday we join together as people on a journey to worship our God of grace. We like to have fun in worship. Every fifth Sunday we have Worship Cafe, an informal, creative way of worshiping; a choir meets every other week before service to share in the gift of song; we participate in a Christmas Cantata; and we are inclusive in our worship. Nursery and Sunday School available. You can check out some of Pastor John's sermons here:
Philemon 1:6 "...and I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of
every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ."
